Low level Wall Air Conditioning Unit

These types of units can be installed in most types of buildings. Often sited under the window in place of conventional radiators providing heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. Mainly used in offices & hotels and suitable for conservatories.

Suitable for offices, these stylish units feature 4-way blow fan, louvre control, adjustable fan speed and temperatre control. Available as heating / cooling or cooling only, they fit into the ceiling void (minimum 350mm deep) with just the grille showing.

At Crystal Air Conditioning we stock a range of commercial standard portable air conditioning units. These units are quickly and easily installed only requiring access to either an opening window, external door or suspended ceiling and a power supply. No installation is required other than positioning the exhaust hose. While these units are not as efficient as a permanent installation, they are an ideal solution in many circumstances such as when taking on short term office leases or for temporary buildings and structures. Below is a simple formula that will allow you to calculate the size and/or number of units you will require for your building along with a cost chart for hire charges. NB. the portable units we provide are commercial grade and should not be confused with units available from DIY stores.

PORTABLE / MOBILE AIR CONDITIONING Air conditioning units are rated in watts. To calculate your requirements, follow the instructions. a) Multiply the length by the width by the height of the room to be air conditioned, which will give you the cubic capacity. b) Then multiply this figure by 40, which will determine the number of watts the unit will need to meet your requirements. EXAMPLE: 8 metres by 4 metres by 2.5 metres = 80 cubic metres. Multiply by 40 giving 3200 watts or 3.2 KW. The above calculations assume an office of 2 people and 2 computer screens. For every additional person and / or computer, add 50 watts. If you have large south facing windows or a skylight, then double the Kw requirement. If in doubt, give us a call and we will help you.
